Local businesses are being given a free opportunity to benefit from a range of monthly business seminars. The first event kicks off on the 27th September with senior Ulster Bank economist Richard Ramsey looking at how Larne is likely to be affected by what's happening in the global economy .
Other seminar topics in the series include; "Innovate or stagnate - how to grow a business during a recession"; "How to stand out from your competitors in tough times"; "Maximising the internet and e-commerce to develop new markets for your business"; "Making tax, VAT and capital allowances work for your business" and "Getting the right people for the right jobs - making recruitment and selection work for your business".
The free seminars are being organised on behalf of Larne Borough Council through Larne Development Forum and LEDCOM.
Speaking at the launch of the ' Vital Business Seminar Series' , Councillor Bobby McKee encouraged the local business community to take full advantage of the seminars, " These are vital business topics, with excellent speakers and superb networking opportunities", said the Larne Mayor.
"The seminars are being arranged in a variety of venues at different times to encourage as many as possible to attend. Larne Borough Council is supporting them because they can be of real practical help to local businesses as they battle to survive and grow in the current economic climate", said Council Chief Executive Geraldine McGahey.
The first seminar is due to take place at the McNeill Theatre at Larne Leisure Centre, on Tuesday 27th September, starting with a light breakfast in the superb new restaurant at the Leisure Centre at 8:30am.
Ulster Bank Senior Economist Richard Ramsey - who is regularly interviewed in the local media on economic issues - look at the where the global economy is heading and what this could mean for Larne businesses.
