Glynn Primary School Visits Willowbank Business Park June 2006
Glynn Primary School P7 pupils visited Willowbank Business Park last week to find out about new technology businesses who are making their home in Larne.

Pupils paid a visit to B9 Energy, Bapco Closures Research Ltd, and InspecVision, finding out about new technologies and future job opportunities!

The visit was arranged as part of the Time To Read programme run by Business In The Community. Ledcom's Chief Executive, Ken Nelson has been a Time To Read volunteer at Glynn Primary School over the last three years.

Business In The Community developed Time To Read as a business volunteering strategy through which Northern Ireland companies could work in schools and help support literacy within their local communities.

"The P7 pupils really enjoyed their visit to Willowbank Business Park and helped them to find out about some of the exciting developments in Larne based companies. As a school we're delighted to have volunteers from the local business community through the Time To Read Programme" said Glynn Primary School Principal Diane Hawthorne." Business In The Community is keen to hear from the other business volunteers and more information can be obtained from Jill McCluskey at 028 90460606 or jill.mccluskey@bitcni.org.
